This Maplin Handheld Metal Detector Security Wand is powered by a 9V battery (not included), the metal detector has a low battery audible sound alert and red low battery indicator to tell you when replace or recharge the battery.
Simply press the button "Sound Alarm Switch" or "Vibration Alarm Switch" to power on the metal detector. When the scanner detects a metal object the audio buzzer will sound or the handle will vibrate and the a red LED will illuminate when a metal object is detected. Rotate the sensitivity dial according to the size/shape/composition of the object you are mostly commonly trying to detect.
